Resilience and Wellbeing Survey

In 2018-2019, the Stronger Families Alliance conducted a survey with Blue Mountains residents on Resilience and Wellbeing.

This survey is the start of a longitudinal study developed in order to measure our perceived wellbeing and our resilience capacities. The survey findings will show us where our strengths and areas of vulnerability are, and measure changes over time.

Just over 2500 people completed the survey. 81% of these were from High School Students.

During 2019 and 2020 we are sharing results with schools, and agencies that have participated in the project. If you would like to be involved in the next survey in 2021 please let us know!

Some of the findings from the 2018 Survey of Resilience and Wellbeing are:

People with above average wellbeing and resilience:

– Participate in sport/recreation
– Feel connected to their community and can access social support when needed
– Typically gender identify as ‘male’
