3. SFA Low/Free School-Term holidays activities
An event every week that begins at 10:00 am on Thursday, repeating until 10th October, 2019
Special admission fee from $7.00 per child aged 5-15 years ; Accompanying adults $9.00 (kids under 5 years – free!)
Come on in and enjoy the special ambience of the Museum on a rare NON-RUNNING day…no noisy steam engines to deal with! The loudest thing you’ll experience is the sound of excited children exploring the remarkable exhibits! Be amazed by the historic artefacts as you wander in the 105 year old roundhouse – ask a volunteer for background stories and extra facts.
Take in the two model rooms, view unique artworks and climb aboard engines and carriages, some over 100 years old. The whole family can join a special free* ‘behind the scenes’ tour at 11:00 or 14:00 for a glimpse of rarely seen stuff.
Then relax in the café with a hot or cold drink and maybe browse the shop for a gift for someone special, young or old?
Children from age 5-15 can do the ‘Kid’s Quiz’ – 10 fascinating questions to answer as you wander round the museum – more fun than school? Then look up the answers at home and print a certificate with the child’s name – a unique memento of your visit!
No booking required, so just turn up at the best little Museum on the Mountains.
