Celebrating International Women’s Day 2020 with women from our Blue Mountains emergency services

2nd March @ 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Collectively, each one of us can help create a gender equal world.

Join the Zonta Club of the Blue Mountains in celebrating and acknowledging the work of our local female emergency service members. We will have a panel of guests from the RFS, SES and the National Parks & Wildlife Service who will speak about their experiences in an industry that is perceived to be male dominated. There will also be an opportunity for questions and discussion.

Confirmed speakers (at this stage) will be:

  • Wendy Hemmonds (RFS Blaxland)
  • Caroline Grice (RFS Medlow Bath)
  • Michaela Jones(NPWS))
  • Gay Thornton and Caro Ryan (SES)

Dinner at 6:30pm – Please register your intention to come for dinner so that we can ensure enough tables are reserved in the Function Room. Dinner will be available to purchase on the night (register for a friend too, to take advantage of the Monday 2 for 1 meal deal).

Speakers at 7:30pm – For those who just want to come along and listen to the panel, there is no need to register – just come along at 7:30pm and be prepared for standing room only.
