Our focus for 2018 – 2019

For 2018 – 2019 the Alliance identified the following areas of focus for project and development work:

  1. Children start school ready to learn
  2. Children and young people do not experience anxiety and depression and are emotionally resilient
  3. Confident and engaged parents support their children’s development & learning
  4. The Blue Mountains is recognised as being a child and youth friendly community
  5. Every Blue Mountains family has access to a collaborative service network (hub) which is unique to their neighbourhood , supports child development and is a natural gateway into community life
  6. The SFA works together effectively and measures its impact

Our implementation project groups have identified a set of measures from the evidence base for each of our four focus areas: Children, Young People, Parents and Carers, and The City. Outcomes and measures can be found in our Measurement and Outcomes Tables.

Reporting on activities and outcomes in these areas can be found at How Are We Achieving Our Goals.

As progress is made in these areas, the Alliance will extend the horizons of its work, while strengthening its capacity to continue to operate effectively over the longer term.

Key to this capacity will be the continuing support from the “Backbone” agencies, Blue Mountains City Council and the Mountains Community Resource Network (MCRN).
